PT Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMI) is preparing to launch their latest variants Hatchback, that is Hyundai i20.

Hyundai i20 produced to replace Hyundai Getz has been first launched in Europe and India, with two engine options, gasoline and diesel.

Hatchback Variant is designed in the Hyundai Design Center in Europe, Russelsheim, Germany, is shown with the 5-door Hatchback model.

Although has dimension with the Hyundai Getz, the Hyundai i20 has a steering wheel that distance is longer, with the athletic i20 appear roomy interior.

Hyundai i20 has also successfully passed the test Euro NCAP (The European New Car Assessment Program) with five stars rewards.


In Europe there, i20 marketed engine provided with the engine and the 1.1L CRDi ie Diesel CRDi VGT DOHC Petrol Engine and Refined.

Hyundai i20 will be displayed at the Indonsian International Motorshow July 2009 with the other SUV Hyundai product Hyundai Sante Fe Facelift.

Hyundai Santa Fe Facelift 2010 model

Hyundai swiped the wraps off its mildly facelifted 2010 Santa Fe in South Korea ahead of the compact SUV's domestic market launch in July. The reworked 2010 model features some modest cosmetic changes along with the introduction of a new pair of turbo diesel engines. On the outside, changes seem to be reduced to a lightly altered front end with a redesigned bumper and grille, reshaped exterior mirrors with turning signals and new alloy wheel designs.

There's also talk about a newly designed rear bumper and tail lights along with an updated interior but we've yet to see the full image gallery or an official press release for that matter.

The South Korean news agencies also reported that the 2010 Santa Fe benefits from the introduction of the Hyundai - Kia group's newly developed 'R' diesel engine lineup that consists of two 4-cylinder units with a displacement of 2.0-liters and 2.2-liters and outputs of 184HP / 392Nm and 200HP /436Nm respectively. Both engines are linked to a new 6-speed automatic transmission.


The facelifted Santa Fe will most likely make its debut at Indonesia International Motorshow (IIMS) in July 2009. Hyundai i20 will also released at the Indonesian International Motor Show.

HYUNDAI GENESIS NAMED 2009 NORTH AMERICAN CAR OF THE YEAR

After months of expert test-drives, critical acclaim and independent awards, the Hyundai Genesis took top honors in the most exclusive award in North America when it was named 2009 North American Car of the Year.

A jury of 50 independent automotive journalists evaluated all the new cars introduced last year and chose the 2009 Hyundai Genesis as the best new model. The award was announced at a news conference at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

“Genesis represents everything we’ve learned, so far, about engineering great automobiles – and we’re delighted that the judges have recognized the good work of our R&D teams,” said John Krafcik, Hyundai Motor America acting president and chief executive officer. “And we’re not stopping here…Genesis will share company in Hyundai showrooms this spring with its rear-wheel drive platform-mate, the Genesis Coupe.”

This year the jurors considered more than 50 new vehicles before selecting the top three cars and top three trucks. The Volkswagen Jetta TDI and Ford Flex were the other finalists.
The North American Car of the Year award is decided by a jury of 50 independent, full-time automotive journalists from the United States and Canada. This is the 16th year of the awards, which were inspired by the prestigious European “Car of the Year.” They are administered by an organizing committee and are funded exclusively with dues paid by the jurors. Jurors judge the cars on a number of factors including innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value for the dollar.
